Account and Data Deletion
Last updated: 2026-08-04
Please note: this page is a draft prepared ahead of formal legal review.
This page explains how to request deletion of your account and data from Taleef CRM, TaleefChat, and TaleefAIBot.
How to submit a request
Email [email protected] with the subject line “Account and data deletion request,” and include:
- The product (Taleef CRM, TaleefChat, or TaleefAIBot).
- The email address or phone number associated with your account or conversation.
- If you’re a customer of one of our business clients rather than a direct Taleef account holder, the name of that business, so we can route your request correctly.
Identity verification
Before deleting account or conversation data, we may ask you to confirm your identity, for example, by replying from the email address on file, to prevent someone else from deleting your data without your knowledge.
What will be deleted
Once a request is verified, we will delete the personal information associated with your account or conversation from our live systems: account and profile information, conversation and message content, and associated support records, subject to the exceptions below.
What may legally be retained
We may retain limited information where retention is required or permitted by applicable law, including for tax and accounting obligations, fraud and security prevention, active disputes, legal claims, or regulatory investigations. Where we retain information for these reasons, we limit its use to that purpose.
Deleting data from our live systems does not instantly remove it from encrypted backups. Backup copies are retained only until they expire or are overwritten under our normal backup cycle, and are not used for any purpose other than restoring service.
Organisation-managed accounts
Where Taleef processes your account or information on behalf of a business client, that client normally acts as the controller of the information. We will forward your request to the client and assist them in responding to it in accordance with our agreement and applicable law. Deactivation of your access, deletion of your user profile, and deletion of business records may be handled differently where the client is legally required to retain those records.
Expected processing time
We aim to acknowledge deletion requests within five working days, and to complete verified deletion requests within 30 days. Where a request is unusually complex, involves an organisation-managed account, or is subject to a legal retention requirement, we’ll tell you the reason for any delay and the expected completion date.
Following up
If you haven’t heard back within a reasonable time, or have any question about a request already submitted, contact us again at [email protected] referencing your original request.
